Landscaping & Gardening Services
Landscaping services, landscape design and gardener services for palaces, heritage hotels, resorts, private estates and homes across Udaipur, Rajasthan and India. Every discipline below is delivered by our own crews — nothing is subcontracted out and then walked away from.
A landscape is drawn before it is dug, and maintained by the people who planted it. That continuity is the point: the crew that chose a specimen knows how it should be pruned in year three. Six landscaping and horticulture services, one studio in Udaipur, working since 2015 — from professional gardening services for a private garden to a full estate programme for a heritage hotel.
Soft Landscaping
Planting composition, specimen selection and the soil work underneath it. The living half of a landscape — designed so the scheme still reads in its fifth summer, not just its first.
Terrace Garden
Unused roofs become usable garden floors. Waterproofing and load engineering come first, planting second — get that order wrong and the roof becomes a leak.
Irrigation System
Drip lines that deliver water to the root zone rather than the air. Hydrozoning groups plants by thirst so nothing is watered on someone else's schedule.
Kitchen Garden
Productive gardens built to a chef's brief — what the kitchen actually uses, in the quantities it needs, through a Rajasthan growing year.
Estate Maintenance
The crew that planted it maintains it. Every scheme is designed with a maintenance plan written before the first plant goes in.
Pergola & Shade
Structure softened by flower. Pergolas dressed in climbers until the frame all but disappears — shade that improves as it ages.
Survey first, drawing second, planting third.
Every scheme we take on runs through the same four stages, in the same order. The order matters more than any single stage.
1 · Survey. We walk the site before we draw anything. Soil is tested rather than assumed — texture, depth, pH and what is actually under the topsoil. Water is established at source: what the property has, what it has in May, and what it costs when the mains runs dry. Sun and wind exposure are recorded by the hour, because a courtyard that bakes from three o'clock needs a different palette from one that does not. On a roof, the slab is assessed before a single pot is specified.
2 · Drawing. A planting plan, a layout, and a services drawing showing where irrigation and drainage will run. Drawings exist so that the person building it and the person maintaining it in year five are looking at the same intention. They also exist so that the client can say no to something on paper rather than after it is planted.
3 · Build. Ground preparation, hard elements, irrigation, then planting — in that sequence. Planting before the irrigation is in means digging it up again. On occupied properties the programme is phased around guests, which usually means working in defined zones with clean edges rather than opening the whole site at once.
4 · Establishment. The eighteen months after planting decide whether the scheme survives. Watering is deep and deliberate, pruning is formative, and losses are replaced. We would rather carry this stage ourselves than hand over and hope.
Asked often.
What landscaping services do you offer?
Six, all delivered in-house: soft landscaping and planting design, terrace gardens, drip irrigation design and installation, kitchen gardens, pergolas and shade structures, and ongoing estate maintenance.
Do you only work in Udaipur?
The studio is in Udaipur and most projects are across Rajasthan, but we work elsewhere in India where the project justifies it. For distant sites we start with drawings and photographs and make a survey visit before anything is finalised.
How long does a landscaping project take?
The build is usually the shorter part. Survey and drawing take a few weeks, the build depends on site size and access, and establishment runs eighteen months beyond planting. The binding constraint is the planting season — there are two good ones here, and working outside them raises both cost and losses.
Do you take on maintenance for gardens you did not design?
Yes. We survey the existing planting and irrigation first and say plainly what can be brought back and what cannot, rather than quoting a monthly figure against an unknown.
Can you work while the hotel stays open?
Most of our hospitality work is done on occupied properties. It is phased in defined zones with clean edges, noisy work is scheduled around guest patterns, and the programme allows for it from the start instead of absorbing it later.
Do you offer gardening services for private homes in Udaipur?
Yes. Alongside hotel and estate work we take on private gardens in Udaipur and across Rajasthan — planting design, terrace gardens, drip irrigation and scheduled gardener visits under a maintenance contract. What we are not is a one-off tidy-up service: the gardens that suit us are the ones that need a plan and someone to keep it.
Is horticulture the same as landscaping?
Landscaping is the whole outdoor scheme — layout, structures, planting and water. Horticulture is the plant science inside it: species selection, soil, propagation and long-term care. We are a horticulture-led landscaping studio, which is why every scheme is drawn around what will actually grow in this climate rather than what photographs well on the first day. In practice that makes us a horticulture company as much as a landscaping one: ornamental horticulture for hotel and estate gardens, commercial horticulture where a property grows for its own kitchen, and horticulture design, horticulture maintenance and horticulture consultancy from the same team. Clients engage us as a horticulture contractor for a whole scheme, or as a horticulture consultant on planting alone.
How should we choose between landscaping companies in Udaipur?
Ask to see a garden that is three summers old, not three weeks. The best landscaping companies in Udaipur are the ones whose planting is still standing after the heat has tested it, and who will show you the maintenance schedule that kept it that way. Ask us the same question — we will take you to one.
What does landscaping cost?
Landscaping cost is driven by area, the amount of hard structure, planting density and irrigation — not by a rate per square foot. We survey first and quote against a written scope, because a number given over the phone is wrong in both directions.
Palaces, heritage hotels, resorts and estates
How we scope and phase work for hotels and resorts →
Hospitality landscape work has constraints a private garden does not: phasing around live guests, load limits over occupied rooms, water discipline in a desert climate, and a maintenance standard that has to hold every day of the season. We plan for those first and design within them.
Projects delivered include Raj Niwas in Dholpur, Narsingh Bagh, Inder Prakash in Udaipur and Lodha Farm.
